Mie Goreng
Indonesian fried noodles with egg, vegetables and savoury-sweet sauce
Indonesian favourite
Simple, quick and full of flavour
Mie Goreng is one of Indonesia's best-known noodle dishes. The noodles are fried together with egg, fresh vegetables and garlic.
Sweet soy sauce gives the noodles their characteristic colour and slightly sweet flavour, balanced by salty soy sauce, oyster sauce and tomato sauce.
At Oemah Tepi Sawah we keep our Mie Goreng simple, colourful and easy to prepare – the kind of dish you can learn here and cook again at home.
