Meet Komang Deduk & De Galih

De Galih, one of our local trekking guides

Komang Deduk and De Galih are two of the local guides who may accompany you on your trek.

Their story is very special to us.

In 2010, they were involved in a motorcycle accident in which they collided with each other. Both were left with limited function in their right hands.

But this experience did not stop them from moving forward. Through determination, curiosity and a strong desire to learn, they have continued to build independent and confident lives.

Today, their knowledge of the local landscape, plantations and community makes them wonderful companions for guests who want to experience this part of Bali more deeply.

“We are grateful to share this journey with them.”

We are very happy that Oemah Tepi Sawah allows us to work together, support one another and share our home and surroundings with people from around the world.
